Defence Minister Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga has instructed the police to ensure that no hooliganism takes place at campaign rallies.
Kiyonga who is also the Kasese district NRM chairperson told the party’s Bukonzo west constituency committee that the primary elections will be free, fair and peaceful.
Kiyonga adds that no weapons or drunken persons will be allowed at rallies to avoid unnecessary disruptions.
He also condemned candidates who are promoting sectarianism in their campaigns and urged voters to reject any one who is promoting religious or tribal divisions.
