Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Minister Hon Amelia Kyambadde has urged parents to give their children sex education protect them from being taken advantage of by other people.
Speaking at the ongoing Daily Monitor Full Woman Health Camp at Serena Hotel, Kyambadde has shared her personal story about an uncle who used to touch her inappropriately and she never knew it was was harassment .
Hon.Kyambadde has advised parents to let their children be aware of these bad things because it’s the only way to protect them.
She says the role of imparting sex education to children is mainly that of the parents and not the extended family.
The 7th Annual Full Woman Health Camp organized by Daily Monitor has attracted a wide range of health experts specialized in difference fields.
The health camp is running under the theme; Sexuality and Fertility because issues relating to fertility in women have increased and need special attention.
Speaking to KFM, the Editor Full Woman Magazine Ms Eunice Rukundo says that this year’s camp is running under the theme; Sexuality and Fertility because issues relating to fertility in women have increased and need special attention.
She adds that there is also free medical checkup for both men, women and children.
