Members of the 10th Parliament have been asked to pick their access cards as a measure to comply with security provisions at the House.
The call by the Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah comes shortly after sections of the media indicated that the parliamentary security system, procured at 28 billion shillings two years ago had broken down.
However, an independent survey by KFM proved the security system was operational although the electronic voting machine has never been used.
Oulanyah has now asked all members to personally pick their access cards.
