Makerere university management has denied allegations of financial mismanagement that have been circulating in the mass media.
the deputy vice chancellor of finance and administration Prof Barnabas Nawangwe, says the university, like other public institutions, is audited annually by the general auditor and the report is submitted to parliament and open to public scrutiny.
Meanwhile, he says funding collected from Research and other donations are for specific purposes and cannot be diverted, adding that the biggest problem the university is facing is the accumulated incentive arrears.
