Uganda drops in FIFA rankings

Uganda has been relegated to 88th position in the just released Coca Cola Fifa rankings.

Uganda was beaten by Congo Brazzaville in an Afcon qualifier last month in Brazzaville are ties on 388 points with Qatar and Saudi Arabia who climbed 8 and one place respectively.

Despite the decline, Uganda is still the highest ranked Cecafa country with Rwanda behind in 105 positions, with neighbors Sudan ranked 110th and Kenya 113th.

African Champions Zambia climbed two places from 43rd to 41st with beaten finalist Ivory Coast still the only African country in the top 20 ranked nations coming in on 15th position.

World and European Champions Spain are still top followed closely by Netherlands who disposed Germany for the second place slot.

Uruguay occupy fourth place with five times world champions lip frogging from seventh to fifth. England Portugal, Argentina, Italy and Croatia respectively complete the top ten.
