2010 Terror Bomb Key Suspect Disowns Earlier Extra Judicial Statement

The hearing of a terror suspects is still going on at the High Court in Kampala.

One of the key suspects Issa Luyima who is now in the witness dock has disowned his extra judicial statement made before former Buganda Rad Court Magistrate Francis Kobusheshe earlier.

Luyima has told Court that he was forced by a one Afande Namara to confess, adding that while at the Joint Anti Terrorism unit tongue was t pulled out and pricked it using a needle.

He also narrated how he was tortured right from the Kenya port city of Mombasa to Kampala.

Luyima adds that he was also ordered to confess and incriminate others for him to be exonerated.

Earlier, Luyima admitted taking part in the commission of terrorism that resulted into the death of 76 people at Kyadondo Rugby grounds and Ethiopian Restaurant in Kabalagala.

He also confessed to being a member of the Al-shabaab militant group having been trained in Somalia.
