As the country awaits to receive its first oil in 2020 the government is to commence this financial year the construction of the Kabaale International Airport in Hoima District and the Rehabilitation of the Tororo – Pakwach Railway Meter Gauge line to support delivery of equipment for Oil production.

Meanwhile the government is also prioritizing the review of the regulatory framework in the minerals sector and registering of artisan miners and building the capacity of small scale miners.
