The Tabliq Muslim sect leader Sheikh Muhammad Kamoga is believed to have been arrested.
A source close to him who prefers anonymity says Kamoga was picked from Equatorial mall last night and taken to an unknown destination.
The development comes barely a day after he stated that he knew the people behind the death of Muslim Clerics while addressing believers at Nakasero mosque.
So far six people have been charged in connection to the death of Sheik Kadhir Muwaya and Mustapha Bahiga who were gunned down in an attack blamed on internal Muslim wrangles. Unconfirmed reports indicate that Kamoga is being held at the Police Special Investigations Unit but the police is yet to comment on the matter.
