Former Local Government Minister and president of the opposition People’s Progressive Party Jaberi Bidandi Ssali has been dragged to court over alleged land grabbing.
He has been given 15days to defend himself on allegations that he fraudulently acquired a piece of land situated on block 6 plot 94 in Katwe.
A one Peter Kasule Mpagi has dragged Bidandi to the High Court land division seeking eviction orders.
The plaintiff claims that he is the rightful owner of the said land being the lawful administrator of Estate of his late father Samuel Kasule.
Mpagi currently in Texas USA accuses Bidandi transferring the land title using a forged signature of his late father.
Court records show that on 12th March 1969 the late Kasule had his land registered on a title and within just a short time transferred the same in Bidandi Ssali’s names.
The case has been allocated to Justice Elizabeth Kabanda who is yet to fix a hearing date.
