Bodies Exhumed! Residents Relate Reprobate Act to Witchcraft

Police in Kasese district are hunting for unknown people who exhumed two dead bodies and left them standing in their graves.

The shocking incident happened at Umoja village in Kasese municipality.
Residents found the dead bodies that were buried one year ago on top of the graves.

According to police, one of the graves has the remains of Mariam Mutesi who died in a motor accident last year whose body was found with parts missing on top of the grave and another one was of the child who could not be identified.

The assistant officer in charge of criminal investigations Joseph Andama who led the group of police detectives to the scene said that police is puzzled with the level of witch craft in the area saying that the motive of the incident is not yet known.
