The Uganda Communications Commission(UCC) has given Uganda Telecom Ltd a 60 day ultimatum to clear its arrears.
The UCC executive director Godfrey Mutabazi says the company has failed to pay fees now amounting to 13bn shillings to the commission.
Appearing before the ICT committee of parliament Mutabazi said the company blames its failure to clear the arrears on government’s failure to pay for services offered.
Mutabaazi says if UTL fails to clear up the debt within the 60 days it risks having its license revoked.
