As the country prepares for the 2016 general elections, members of the civil society have embarked on sensitizing the public on the meaning of free and fair elections.

Working in partnership with political parties, the group is set to launch a campaign dubbed the “Call for Free and Fair election Now’’ this afternoon.

One of the brains behind the campaign is Bukoto MP Matthias Nsubuga who explains that the move is meant to give them ample time for preparation.

He adds that it is also meant to emphasize the importance of participating in the electoral process and the urgent need for electoral reforms.
