Five people are confirmed to have died in Kansanga, after the building they were constructing collapsed on them.
According to one of survivors identified as Charles Mukwana they were still digging the foundation when the accident happened.
He explains that the building was near a water channel which they did not notice earlier.
This, he says could have weakened the soils, causing the accidents.
The deceased have been identified as Collins Sserugo, Paul Ochen, Musa Bob, Bernard Kabale and Robert Kakeeto.
The Kabalagala Division Police Commander Bernard Mugerwa has confirmed the incident saying three of the victims have survived with serious injuries and have been rushed to hospital for treatment.
Mugerwa adds that two of the site engineers attached to Baleke Constructors have already been arrested.
