COSASE Kicks Out UNRA Boss

The Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises has dismissed officials from the Uganda Roads Authority for what Committee Chair Abdul Katuntu called a game of “hide and seek”

Officials led by Ms Allen Kagina the Executive Director had appeared before the committee this afternoon to answer audit queries highlighted in the 2014-2015 Auditor General’s Report.

However, the committee could not proceed after officials appeared without requisite documents, prompting the committee Chairperson to send them away.

Ms Kagina says that they simply erred but will return in compliance.

Major concerns regard issues of mismanagement of funds used by the roads body.
