The Supreme Court has set March 4th to hear an application filed by NUP party president Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu seeking leave to withdraw his election presidential petition challenging the victory of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

This after the said petition published in the Uganda gazatte as it was highlighted by the Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo.

On February  24th, Kyagulanyi’s lawyers led by Medard Lubega  Ssegona officially  filed before the supreme Court  the said application.

However, the chief justice  and also a member on the nine panel  bench presiding over the said petition  explained that the law requires among other requirements  that the said application  before its heard has to be first gazetted in Uganda gazette.

He then informed all parties that once the gazatte is out, then he will notify them on the day for the said application to be heard.
