The Conservative Party has threatened to pull out of the Democratic Alliance (TDA), citing endless wrangling.
This is after the alliance summit again failed to agree on a joint candidate for the 2016 presidential elections.
The candidate was expected to be declared yesterday but the summit failed to reach consensus, postponing the decision to tomorrow.
Now addressing the media today, one of the summit members, also the conservative party President John Ken Lukyamuzi said that the proposal of fronting Amama Mbabazi over Dr. Kiiza Besigye is likely to fuel deeper divisions.
The Democratic Alliance summit sits again tomorrow morning to choose between FDC flag bearer Dr. Kiiza Besigye and former premier Amama Mbabazi of the Go Foward pressure group.
This is after Democratic Party president Nobert Mao and former Vice President Prof.Gilbert Bukenya pulled out of the race.
