Uganda Cranes fought back twice to record a 2-2 draw against Ghana’s Black Stars in an international friendly played on Tuesday night in Morocco.
Steven Mukwala and Muhammed Shaban scored for the Cranes while Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew netted for the Black Stars.
Opoku opened the scoring for Ghana seven minutes into the game before Asante Kotoko’s striker Steven Mukwala leveled matters for the cranes in the 22nd minute.
Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew put the four-time African champions back in the driving seat by scoring Ghana’s second through a penalty but KCCA FC striker Mohammed Shaban scored Uganda’s equalizer from a close range following poor defending from the Black Stars.
Uganda Cranes finished the international break without a win having lost terribly 4-0 to Comoros Island in their first game which was also played in Morocco on Friday.
