Dr. Besigye sues Civil Aviation Authority

Former FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye has dragged the Civil Aviation Authority to the High Court for allegedly conniving with security agencies to pull him off the aircraft on 3^rd October 2016 while at Entebbe Airport.

Through his lawyer Ladislus Rwakafuuzi Besigye accuses the Aviation Authority of diverting his planned movements and droving him against his will through remote routes from Entebbe Airport to his home in Kasangati.

Besigye says he was also denied the right to meet and move from the Airport in company of his waiting family, friends, associates and supporters hence violating his freedom of Association.

Besigye in his supporting sworn affidavit states that on 22th August he left Uganda and addressed conferences in London, Geneva and Boston and returned on 3rd October using Kenya Airways aircraft which landed at Entebbe.

Court has given CAA only 15 days within which to file a response before Justice Patricia Basaza can fix it for hearing.
