Former FDC president, Dr Kizza Besigye has revealed a ploy by government to eliminate him.

Besigye revealed while addressing the media at his home in Kasangati this afternoon, that besides the continuous arrest of opposition politicians, they have discovered a plot by govt to eliminate them.

“Knowing these dangers are there, I can only take whatever precautions I can take as a person. This is why I have those shirts with hoods, I cannot go and eat in a restaurant like other free people could for the same fears,” Besigye reveals.

Former FDC leader Dr. Kiiza Besigye has spoken about about his ordeal following yesterday’s arrest stating that he suspects they did poison him since he feels stomach pains now.

Government has however often denied such claims, saying they are unfounded.

He was arrested yesterday and later released on police bond after he was charged with holding an illegal assembly.
