Women in the East African region are still not at the helm of business.

Allen Asiimwe the country Director Trademark East Africa laments the silent voice of women in implementing policy.

Speaking at a dialogue on enhancing participation of Ugandan women in business in the East African integration process, Asiimwe says most women are not trading on legal status, which prevents them for scaling the heights of the business world.

She says women should tap into the wider East African market through lobbying government to foster more friendly policies for them.
