The Northern Regional football association (NRFA) has declared the Federation for Uganda Football Association (FUFA) president Eng. Moses Magogo as the sole candidate for the upcoming FUFA Election

NRFA chairpersons from across districts of Lango and Acholi Sub-region have vowed that the incumbent Eng. Moses Magolo would be retained after a long consultative meeting held at Town View Annex Hotel Lira to produce a successor who would challenge Magogo

Speaking on Wednesday evening, Dr. Patrick Bernard Ogwel the FUFA representative Northern region said the meeting was to align all the NRFA chairpersons with election road map.

He said the NRFA had observed that there was no one to challenge Magogo in the coming election.

Dr. Ogwel notes that the chairperson came with the decision to declare Magogo after failing to source the next successor from the Northern Region to contest with Magogo

He says the date for picking forms has been set for 10th April 5, 2017 and the returning officers shall undergo induction on how to handle the election in Gulu on Friday 6th April 5, 2017
