The ministry of Health together with the Uganda communications commission have resolved that musician Eric Opoka aka EeZzy redoes his popular controversial ‘Tumbiza sound’ song.

This is after a successful meeting held between officials from the ministry and the commission and the musician this afternoon.

The ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyona tells KFM that they have agreed that EeZzy comes up with an improved version of his song and make it more educative so that it can teach the public about the covid19 preventative measures.

He says the ministry will not give him any money to redo the song but will only advise and approve his new lyrics and will consider engaging him in the future incase of health promotion projects.

“Depending on the outcome of our engagement with this improved song, we will have future engagements with him. We are interested in promoting his artistic talent. We also appeal to other artists who have health promotion messages to consult us and we see how best we can educate our  population,” said Mr Ainebyona.

The ministry of health earlier wanted the song banned for misinforming the public about COVID-19.

In the Lyrics of this song, EaZzy says much as some people are still in lockdown, to others life has returned to normalcy.

He further asked the government to reopen bars provided people can wear face masks, use sanitizers and social distance to avoid the spread of the virus.
