Security officers, together with health personnel are on the lookout for a Kenyan truck driver identified as Mohammad Gule Kusso who went into hiding after testing positive for coronavirus at Malaba border point.
The Aswa region police spokesperson, Patrick Okema says Kusso was driving a truck, registration number KBR 614H which he abandoned in the parking yard when he arrived in Elegu.
Speaking to KFM, Okema appeals to members of the public to cooperate with authorities and trace him. This will stem the spread of coronavirus.
Over the weekend, at the same border point in Elegu, Ministry of Health officials evacuated Mohamed Adow, another truck driver of vehicle registration number KCE 647, who tested positive of COVID-19 to Gulu Regional Referral hospital for close monitoring. Adow’s sample was taken from Malaba entry point on his way to South Sudan.
