President Yoweri Museveni has asked African leaders to critically examine the cause of conflicts on the continent.

The president who is also the chairperson of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union was addressing African leaders on the Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Council in Equatorial Guinea.

He explained that the majority of these conflicts are conducted by ideologically deficient groups that are in disciplined.

The president stressed that the starting point is to defeat insecurity in Africa and to banish the ideology of sectarianism and gender ─ chauvinism.
