FDC attack government for disconnecting sim-cards

By Damali Mukhaye

The Forum for Democratic Change has attacked the government for switching of people’s simcards in a process they called was shoddy and has left many stranded.

Addressing journalists at the party head offices in Najjanakumbi, the spokesperson Ibrahim Semujju Nganda says a number of people have been left behind and they are stranded.

He explains that it was uncalled for the government to continue switching off people’s cards when they had not finished registering all the Ugandans to get their national Identity cards.

He also lamented that a number of people registered but their numbers have still been switched off arguing parliament to act accordingly.

The government on the 19th of May switched off all unregistered and un verified SIM-cards with national IDs.
