Forum for Democratic Change’s (FDC), Dr. KiizaBesigye has threatened to sue government over what he terms as disfranchisement.

According to Besigye, police under the orders of the Police Chief Gen. Kale Kayihura and the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni have denied him his right to vote.

Besigye today

He had planned to travel to his home district of Rukungiri to exercise his political right but was unable to because of the heavy deployment of police officers who blocked him again.

Now Besigye has already instructed his lawyer Ernest Kalibala of Kalibala and Co Advocates to draft a formal complaint
