The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has downplayed the opinion polls putting incumbent president Yoweri Museveni in the lead with 71%.
The opinion polls conducted by the Vision Group puts FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye in second place with 19% of the vote, Independent Amama Mbabazi comes in third place with 6%, while Dr. Abed Bwanika is fourth with 1%.
The polls also show that other presidential candidates in the race were unrated.
However, the FDC spokesperson and Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda says the opinion polls do not reflect the actual voters’ response on the ground.
