The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag Bearer Dr. Kiiza Besigye says his prayer is that the pope engages president Yoweri Museveni on the need to have peaceful transfer of power.
Addressing the media at his home in Kasangati, Wakiso district on Thursday morning, Dr. Besigye said that the Pope’s visit is a blessing because the country needs prayers especially now that the national elections are around the corner.
Meanwhile in a separate development, Dr. Besigye has hit back at the Election Commission for branding him a lawbreaker saying it should take action instead of complaining.
Besigye today began his Mukono district rallies with stopovers at Nakasajja trading center, Kalagi junction, Nakifuma market and Naggalama trading center.
