The Ministry of Sports is ready to compensate victims of the accident that involved the Uganda Crane bus and a commuter taxi killing six people yesterday.
Three Uganda Cranes players were also injured in an accident that occurred at Kamonkoli along the Mbale -Tirinyi road when the bus that was carrying the national team players from Soroti swerved off the road and hit an oncoming taxi.
Now according to the state minister for sports Charles Bakabulindi, the ministry will compensate the victims after receiving a police report.
He has however lashed out at critics who are blaming the president for inviting the players for a meeting away from Kampala, saying that this is a national team that can meet the president in any part of the country.
