Government is asked to consider supporting the game of golf to save it from dying out.

David Mugamba, a golfer and also Director of Kalya Courts hotel in Fort Portal town says golf has been left out yet the Uganda Golf team made it at Africa Zone VI which involved 9 countries.

Adolf Muhumuza, the Capt. Golf Team Uganda says that they scored 18 points followed by South Africa 17 points and attributes the team’s victory to hard work.

He said this is the first time Uganda is taking the trophy since 2007 when they took the 4th position.

He currently most of Uganda’s golfers use their own resources, appealing to well-wishers to support the game because most of the team members are students.
