Government worried with the prolonged dry spell

Government is worried with the prolonged dry spell which has caused famine and water scarcity in districts in the country.

According to the minister of Disaster preparedness, Management and Refugees Hillary Onek, the disaster is projected to end in March next year.

The disaster scientifically known as lamina, a long spell of drought comes after el-nino, heavy rains.

The minister says that whereas government is undertaking several measures, the worry lies in the remaining unproductive period of four months
