The youth in Teso region have asked the government to invest technology that will help improve value addition in the area.

Speaking at the TESO Region Business Symposium held at Gudie Leisure Farm in Najjera Kampala, the Executive Director Prof Gudula Naiga Basaza, said government needs to invest more in various agribusiness development activities that will help improve lives of the youth in the region.

She added that the youth train weekly in the Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Association (PELs) established in the business associations designed to support the advancement of their enterprises.

She says industries are comprised of 25 cottages that have the potential of creating employment opportunities for 38,000 youth when fully operational.

Meanwhile, the Teso cultural youth minister, Moses Otekat said young people have opportunities to do excellent work but are challenged by the absence of advanced technology.
