The doctor accused of neglecting a pregnant mother leading to her death has been granted bail.

Dr Christopher Bingi today appeared before Mukono Chief Magistrate Joy Bakugunza who granted him a cash bail of Shs.750,000.

His sureties included Julius Mukwano the head teacher Mukono High School, Denis Mugisha, a dental officer at Mukono Health Center Four and one David Serunjogi.

The Chief Magistrate said that Dr Bingi had a constitutional right to bail.

The hearing of the case has now been pushed to 13th November 2013 after prosecution informed court that investigations are still ongoing.

Dr Bingi is accused of neglecting Florence Nakamya, leading to her death.
