This follows elapsing of the 90 days grace period given to the government to address their concerns which included salary increment, a tax waiver on their salaries and promotions among others.

Speaking to Kfm this morning the president of the Uganda Association of Prosecutors Baxter Bakibinga said the Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Kahinda Otafire had in July written to them confirming their pay rise and had asked for at least 90 days within which to present a supplementary budget request, nothing has come through.

He now says they have no option but to resume the strike.
