The department of integrated high way patrols has been tasked to explain the increasing cases of highway robbery, despite massive deployment.

Just last week, over eight highway robberies occurred across the country, especially along Mbarara -Ntungamo road.

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the commander integrated high way patrol has been tasked to give a clear explanation for such incidents , yet all necessary facilitation and required personnel has been provided.

He adds that the force is temporarily considering extra deployment of police patrol to have effective monitoring of these highways.
