The government might consider a study on the effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine on ineligible people who have taken drug.

This comes at a time some people in Uganda especially children below 18 years are getting the vaccine even though the government labeled them not a priority for covid19 vaccination.

Speaking at dialogue on covid19 vaccine over the weekend, Dr Alfred Driwale, the immunization manager at the Uganda National Extended Program on Immunisation warns that those who have taken the vaccines and yet they do not qualify have made a much-uncalculated risk.

He however says since the guidance was given by the manufacturer of the vaccine, they can only await for those who have selfishly taken the vaccine to present themselves to the ministry in case of any side effects.
