The ongoing bickering in the ministry of Internal Affairs represents the rot in other government ministries.
Last week the Head of the Immigration Department Beatrice Byenkya while appearing before the defense and Internal Affairs Committee of parliament accused her boss General Aronda Nyakayirima of using a militaristic approach in handling the ministry affairs.
Now Masaka Municipality MP, Mathias Mpuuga says what is happening in the Internal Affairs ministry is a deliberate undertaking by the government to undermine institutional powers.
Gen Aronda is expected to appear in the Defense and Internal Affairs Committee to explain the controversies in his ministry.
