Benjamin Jumbe:

Government is searching for an investor to buy out the investors running the Bujagali Power Project.

This has been revealed by finance minister Matia Kasaija during a meeting with a visiting delegation from Qatar who says it is part of efforts by government to ensure the cost of power generation comes down.

He says government is looking for any partners ready to invest cheap money which can be recovered over a longer period of time.

Minister Kasaija adds that they are looking at 500M$.

The Bujagali project is run by Bujagali Energy Limited
