Nomination of candidates vying for the Bushenyi- Ishaka parliamentary seat kicks off today with a call on candidates to follow the set guidelines.

The two day exercise has attracted 6 candidates including two party flag bearers and four independents

Speaking to kfm the Bushenyi returning officer Mulimira Barbra says five of the 6 candidates have so far booked their nomination time.

She identifies them as FDC’s Odota Tayebwa , NRM’s Basajjabalaba Nasser and Robert Bwarare an independent expected at 10am, 11 am and 2 PM respectively today.

She says the other independents who have booked for tomorrow Thursday include Robert Mujuni and Ismail Kikulwe .

The Bushenyi Ishaka parliamentary seat fell vacant after court nullified the election of Nasser Bassaja Balaba over voter bribery.

Now campaigns are set to commence soon after nomination, with the polls scheduled for June 13th.
