Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi is set to celebrate the Buganda Local Government day together with his subjects today the 20th May 2017 at Butooro county headquarters in Mawokota County.
The Kabaka celebrates the Kingdom Local Government day in the county (Ssaza) which wins the Ssaza competition in terms of prosperity and development. Mawokota County is this year’s winner.
The Buganda information minister, Owek Noah Kiyimba says that the Kabaka will be arriving in Mawokota today at around 11am to celebrate with his people, and will award the best farmer of 2016 with a trophy and also Mawokota for the development.
Kiyimba has asked Kabaka subjects to attend in large numbers and also keep time.
Other people expected to grace the ceremony include ; Namasole Margaret Ssiwoza, SSaabaganzi Ssekitooleko,Ssaabalangira Godfrey Musanje, heads of Clan leaders, Kingdom ministers, politicians, Heads of Kingdom institutions among others.
