Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club shook off tough resistance from Jinja Municipal Council Hippos to pick a vital 1-0 Victory and edge closer to their 12th Azam Uganda Premier League title.

The already relegated hosts put up a spirited performance but were broken in the 68th minute after defender Okot was released on the right flank, he delivered in a tempting cross which Serunkuuma, instead of going for goal, brushed it over to an unmarked Nsibambi who controlled with his left and hit a low shot beyond the keeper’s stretched arm to silence the crowds at the Kakindu playground

With that win KCCA FC stretch the lead to five points ahead of SC Villa after 26 match days out, the champions face Kirinya Jinja SS on Saturday at the Philip Omondi stadium before they turn focus t0 the CAF Confederation Cup.
