KCCA pulls down bill boards

Kampala capital city authority has pulled down all billboards in the central business district.

The night operation started on Jinja road, through Wandegeya before spreading to other areas.

At Wandegeya however there was a scuffle when the enforcement officers met opposition from agents managing the bill boards.

Reports indicate that the authority has had disagreements with the advertisers over taxes with the former complaining that no tax goes to its coffers.

Efforts to get a comment from any KCCA officials have been futile with no one from the public relations department picking our calls.
