Kyambogo University lecturers have threatened to lay down their tools after the university management failed to remit their salaries for the last four months.

The lecturers have given the university management upto close of business today to have the money on their bank accounts or they go on strike.

Dr. Grace Lubaale, the Chairperson of Kyambogo University Academic Staff Association tells KFM that the staff members are indeed not happy over delayed payment of their salaries adding that over 800 hundred part time lecturers are demanding over 1 billion shillings in salary arrears.

Kyambogo university Vice Chancellor Prof Elly Katunguka admits that there has been some delays and explains why.
