City Lawyer Fred Muwema has refuted social media allegations that he took Shs900 million bribe to undermine the presidential election petition filed by former independent candidate Amama Mbabazi.

The reports allege that Muwema organized the March 8th break-in of his chambers where signed affidavits for the presidential election petition were stolen.

Through Muwema and company advocates, the lawyer says the matter was reported to police and is under investigation.

He challenges anyone with important information to bring it forward rather than hide behind pseudo internet names to defame others.

The former premier Amama Mbabazi filed an election petition challenging president Yoweri Museveni’s victory of the February 18th 2016 polls. Hearing of the was concluded last week and now the ruling by the 9 judges led by the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe is expected to be delivered on March 31st.
