“Men are under immense pressure and that is why we have so many committing suicide. Recreation helps men to release the stress they are going through,” Peter Igaga said on D’Mighty Breakfast with Brian Mulondo and Maritza.

Igaga added that recreation should be taken seriously and men should be allowed to go out there and have fun since most of the time they are stressed about the bills they have to pay.

He added that men need to move out there and learn from their fellow men so that they can become better financially, psychologically, physically, and emotionally.

“When a man goes out, he will see men who are better than him and learn from them or he will see people who are worse than him and get energised,” he said.

Igaga said, “Men are always told how badly they are doing. [So going out] relaxes their mind. A man needs a hobby and a kind of hobby where you go on your own and not with your wife or children,” he said.

Brian however adds that the wives should know what they are doing and where they are going so that they are comfortable.
Igaga advises that the wives should always let their husbands go out or else they will blow up from their houses.

“Let the man go out, and you will be shocked at how many times men can go out for a drink and have a good time talking. Women should know that when men converge as men, they are able to build themselves,” he said.

However, he says that men should hang out with people who are always better than them.

“You can’t be the sharp kid on the block because it means everyone is benefiting from you. You can’t be in the bar 24/7 and call that recreation,” he warned.

Igaga condemned women for feeling insecure when their men go out because, by the time a man decides to settle, he has made up his mind to stay with that one woman.

“He is not with you because there are no other girls, he is with you because has decided,” Igaga said.
