Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has warned the minister of Kampala City Authority Betty Kamya not to dare hand over the list of the recently evicted park yard vendors unless it is generated from KCCA.
Speaking during an ongoing council meeting at city hall, Lukwago said that when Kamya appeared before Parliament yesterday, she was directed to forward all the names of vendors who were operating from park yard market before it was razed down.
He says that the minister has been giving a different figure of 5000 vendors claiming they were all relocated arguing that the number of vendors known by KCCA is 15,000.
He has maintained that the list that Kamya must present before Parliament should come from KCCA which has authority over the city.
