Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago is today expected to launch his campaigns as he seeks to retain the mayoral seat, with the first campaign rally to be held at Kisansa near the new Taxi Park.

Lukwago says he agreed with the Kampala District returning officer, Charles Ntege and Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Abbas Byakagaba to change his campaign re-launch venue from the Nakasero Market Park Yard to Kisansa.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango has assured Lukwago that he will be offered all the necessary assistance and security.
Lukwago says his campaigns will be anchored on the truth and justice mantra –which he coined from the Truth and Justice pressure group a safe haven for most the Democratic Party dissidents.

Lukwago sets off from the Truth and Justice office in Old Kampala at 2:00pm and will lead a procession through Rashid Khamis road to Kisansa, the venue for the rally.
