Pope Francis is on our soil – let’s make some noise for that. It has been a long 22 years since Pope John Paul visited us.

And to that effect, many people and companies came up with initiatives, while several individuals are in Namugongo just to make a kill off the Argentinian pontiff’s visit.

On the other hand, many faithful have contributed at their different churches towards the papal visit. And one of such faithful is Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green boss Joseph Masembe aka Mase. Well, besides his love for the environment, Masembe proved he loves his Pope after he donated tree seedling for the Pope to plant during his stay in Uganda.

The lanky fellow, who is also behind the bi-annual My Kid is a superstar fetes, handed tens of fruit tree seedlings to the Vicar General of Kampala Archdiocese, Msgr Charles Kasibante, to pass them to Pope Francis.

Masembe said since he has heard the Pope talk about environmental conservation in his speeches, he thought it better to provide him with the gift of tree seedlings.

Masembe also added that he donated many trees so that the Pope blesses them and has them given to a few lucky children at the upcoming Superstar Green Xmas party due on December 13 at the Kololo Airstrip.
