Government has expressed commitment to continue improving the welfare of judicial officers.

The Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi said that although government had increased the remuneration of judges this financial year, the same shall be done next year.

He was today speaking at the requiem service held in honor of the late Supreme Court Judge Amos Twinomujuni held at All Saints Cathedral Nakasero.

He also delivered the president’s condolence message with a 10m shilling contribution towards burial arrangement.

Government has also pledged to support the family of the deceased.

The late Twinomujuni succumbed to cancer on Friday and will be laid to rest tomorrow at Bwizibwera, Kashari Country Mbarara district.
