Minister directs incoming PS to ensure timely information to the media.

The minister of ICT and information Frank Tumwebaze has directed the incoming ministry’s permanent Secretary Vicent Bagiire to ensure all ministries avail timely information to the media.

The minister was presiding over the handover of office by Dr Jimmy Pat Samanya who has served as the ministry’s PS to the new PS Mr Bagiire.

Minister Tumwebaze said one of the roles the ministry has is to streamline government communication across all platforms including digital print and electronic arguing that timely provision of information would help avoid speculation.

Meanwhile incoming PS Bagiire has vowed to focus on increasing governemnt services on line and improve coordination among government agencies among other priorities
